The Esoteric Breast Massage (EBM) re-introduces to women the fact of a deeper connection, purpose and relationship with their breasts, one that is first and foremost free of any sexual intent, overtone, expectation or connotation. As the EBM modality looks to deepen this primary relationship a woman has with herself, her breasts and her body, it is essential those trained are well established in the clear and distinct relationship with their own breasts, in order that their reflection offers the same distinction to those she treats.
Training pre-requisites and accreditation requirements
The practice of the Esoteric Breast Massage is one of the most highly regulated of all the Universal Medicine modalities, both in honour of the intimate nature of the treatment area, and in acknowledgement of the responsibility that arises from treatment to an area of a woman’s body that has been harmfully reduced to roles primarily in breastfeeding or sex, the latter prompting unsolicited skepticism and criticism from the uninformed when a woman takes healing steps that encourage her to reclaim her breasts back as her own first and foremost.
Why Women-Only Practitioners
A foundational and uncompromising virtue of this modality is that no man has practiced the Esoteric Breast Massage, highlighting a standard of integrity that originates in a deep respect for and honouring of women. The awareness of the sensitive nature of such a modality, existing at a time when the role of a woman’s breasts is portrayed as largely and distinctly sexual in nature, is a founding principle that grounds the modality in a deep reverence for the exquisite quality and depth a woman can offer in support of another, untainted by the potential for any form of impropriety or imposition, sexual or otherwise.

Continuing Professional Development, Assessment & Accreditation
Accredited EBM Practitioners are accredited for a period of 12 months. To ensure the quality of professional practitioner standards of conduct are met as they evolve year-on-year, all EBM Practitioners are required to attend the annual FBC AGM & EBM Residential Training Retreat in their region and successfully pass the assessment by the International EBM Training Co-ordinator.
The Annual FBC AGM & EBM Residential Training Retreats held in the UK and Australia each year are an essential element in our commitment to ensuring the continuing professional development of EBM practitioners. The Retreat format can include presentations and workshops from guests speakers in the medical field and more specifically breast care specialists, along with other allied health professionals like physiotherapists working directly with women recovering from breast conditions such as breast cancer. EBM practitioners are also encouraged to attend external conferences and engage in regional discussions on women's health and breast care developments. FBC views the building of relationships with professionals in the medical and allied health care sectors as critical to ensuring EBM practitioners remain responsibly informed and up to date on developments in breast care and contribute accordingly.
