Quite recently I decided it was time to have a series of EBMs as I understood it might help the way I felt about myself as a woman – I had spent many years beating men at sports and anything else I could in the effort to be equal to them, trying to fit in. I was aware that I had ended up not feeling very feminine or good about myself when it came to me as a woman and wanted to change that.
During the years spent this way I suffered many ailments… swollen and painful breasts, heavy, painful periods, migraines, exhaustion (no wonder as I never stopped!), so much so that I ended up with a thyroid condition. I often had the feeling that I couldn’t cope with all the things that were happening in my life.
At my first EBM session I was hesitant to let go and feel what I could in my body, but the practitioner was very supportive and I felt increasingly safe to trust the process. During the subsequent sessions I felt a sense of strength and steadiness building, and with it the ability to cope with my days just seemed to happen. I found I wasn’t so inclined to override how I was feeling or put myself last, something that had become second nature to me in my very demanding job.
Currently I mostly find myself feeling calm, capable and am enjoying so much more the fact I am a woman, l’ve started experimenting with my clothes and my sense of humor seems to have reappeared, so I’m having much more fun around people than I remember for a long time.
One of the best things I can say is that somehow I also no longer experience any of the health issues or symptoms I used to. Recent blood tests have confirmed that my thyroid issue has almost completely resolved itself and my doctor is unsure how this could have even happened.
I have no hesitation in recommending the EBM to every woman wanting a deeper connection to herself and to her body.
